SGGW support for Ukraine!
Due to the unprecedented military aggression of Russia against Ukraine, the SGGW authorities took steps to support members of our academic community from Ukraine, i.e., students, doctoral students, and employees.
SGGW launched a MoneyBox to collect resources earmarked to help Ukraine. The funds are to be transferred to the account of one of the aid foundations, which will transfer them forward to organizations directly involved in helping people in need, currently operating in Ukraine.
SGGW also offers help to Ukrainian members of the SGGW academic community and members of the community of the Ukrainian partner universities. The activities are coordinated by WePoint – section of the International Relations Office, ul. Nowoursynowska 166 bld. 8, room 20 (tel. 22 593 18 46, wepoint@sggw.edu.pl).
There is also a possibility to get information on forms of financial support (benefits) offered by SGGW, and about psychological support for students offered by NZOZ SGGW Student Health Center (ul. Nowoursynowska 161, tel. +48 (22) 593 1430).
In the last few days, the SGGW Main Library at ul. Nowoursynowska 161, has become the center of the charity event; a great number of clothes, food, hygiene products, blankets, etc. were collected there. The goods are temporarily not accepted as they are segregated and prepared for transport. We will inform you about the next steps via our social media channels.
The support for Ukrainian students was also expressed by prof. Michał Zasada, Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, together with the entire academic community, by condemning aggression and declaring greater intensification and development of cooperation with our Ukrainian academic partners.
We are also working on other forms of support.
