Food Safety Academy
The Institute of Food Sciences of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and TŰV SŰD Polska invite you to participate in a series of trainings carried out as part of the Academy of Food Safety project.
The Food Safety Academy consists of 10 meetings (80 hours of classes) carried out in the form of lectures, exercises and discussions.
Ensuring food safety at every stage of the food chain is essential for a food product to reach the final consumer. In order to be competitive on the food market, more and more companies are implementing and maintaining a food safety management system in accordance with standards widely recognized by GFSI, such as BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard, IFS Food Standard or FSSC 22000. Effective implementation of requirements and improvement can be carried out with the help of qualified employees, which is why the goal of the Food Safety Academy is to familiarize participants with selected, significant and common aspects of food safety management systems. During each presented thematic block, emphasis is placed on participants’ understanding of the presented issues through active discussion and thematic workshops. Acquired skills and knowledge can be used by the participants and/or the company as an incentive to develop food safety systems in plants that have implemented the HACCP system or to improve already existing certified food safety management systems.
After completing a series of trainings carried out as part of the Academy of Food Safety project, participants will receive
- diploma issued by the Institute of Food Sciences of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and TŰV SŰD Polska.
After passing the exam, participants will receive
- certificate “Internal auditor of GMP and GHP and HACCP food safety systems according to ISO 22000:2018” issued by TŰV SŰD Polska.
In addition, participants will receive
- access to e-learning courses Food Fraud and Methodology for the implementation of corrections and corrective actions, upon completion of which they will receive certificates issued by TŰV SŰD Polska.

Dr inż. Agnieszka Obiedzińska
leading auditor Food, Health & Beauty at TÜV SÜD Polska. She graduated from the Faculty of Human Nutrition and Consumption Sciences at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Doctor of agricultural sciences in the field of food technology and nutrition at the Faculty of Human Nutrition and Consumption Sciences of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Academic lecturer in the field of food science and agriculture. Researcher of multiannual programs in the field of food, agriculture and sustainable development. For over 14 years he has been dealing with issues related to food quality and safety, including food fraud and authenticity, the use of instrumental methods in food analysis, and food quality and safety management systems. He conducts training in quality (ISO 9001), food safety and packaging (GMP/GHP, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS Packaging Materials).
Dr hab. inż. Jolanta Kowalska, prof. SGGW
researcher at the Institute of Food Sciences of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Since 2002, she has been conducting classes in the field of quality management systems, food safety, risk analysis, as well as designing new products and testing food products in the field of their physico-chemical, sensory, health-promoting properties as well as their quality and safety. Since 2007, head of postgraduate studies Safety and quality in the food chain. From 2022, head of postgraduate studies Microbiological techniques and management systems in ensuring hygiene, quality and safety in industrial practice. Since 2013, she has been conducting training for employees of production plants and official food control units from Belarus in the field of sensory assessment and food safety systems, food labeling, and risk assessment. She has completed numerous trainings in the field of quality management systems.
